I'm considering selling the 17" factory aluminum wheels with Goodyear SR/A tires.
Is anyone in the GVRD (Vancouver, BC) area thinking of upgrading thier 16" steelies?

if you've got the 16" with stock road tires, then yes, it's an upgrade. I really like the look of the 17's, but am looking for A/T tires with higher aspect ratio.

I like the steel wheels. I'm not thrilled with the factory choice for tire. I'm going to put P215/75R16 tires on mine. It will give me a taller side wall, more SUV like, without getting too big. If I have the dealer re-program my car for the diameter of the 17" stock tire 28.1" I will be close in size. The P215/75R16 tires are 28.6" Diameter. It amounts to 106 feet per mile difference on the odometer. 2% off if I calculate correctly.

I did something similar, but went with the 225/75R16 BFG M/T's. That size works out to about a 5% diff, which I don't worry about. Just figure if I'm going 70 on my speedo, I'm actually going about 73.5 mph. Also when I figure my MPG's, I add 5% to the miles I've driven. So far, all is well and the tires look AWESOME!!! :D
