I'm a little confused about the 4wd switch. I ordered an automatic 4x4 sport without the offroad package. I haven't finalized this order yet. Does this model have a switch to the right of the stick to engage/disengage AWD?

No, your vehicle is always in AWD mode UNTIL you lift the T-switch. That puts the vehicle in 4WD mode.
