We have Jeeps, Jeepin' is about getting out and exploring, it baffles my mind how the adventure thread is one of the least used in the forum.

Them being together and being semi hard to find might be the culprit as of why ppl don't post on there?
Or are all of you homebodies?

2 cents in, out.
I have an adventure thread, just not that many Jeeping adventures, sadly.

Trekkie, trucker, Jeeper, potential racer. Don't touch my trumpets.

The look of the site is definitely new, current and fresh however; the pages take a long time to load (advertising?) and this happens a lot "jeeppatriot.com is not responding."..... The old classic site is quick and easy. Cheers

Hey there,

What browser are you using when you come across the slow down?
Also does this happen when you are logged in?

Richard.

So, yeah, the admins here should really do this. Or take away the shoutbox...

I am using Internet Explorer 11 for Windows 7. Don't use Chrome. Yes it locks even when I am logged in. The classic site never locks and is fast. Cheers

Can you please add the site to your compatibility list on IE, it'll be in your settings menu, the gear button.

Thanks!

Kyle

So it took me a month to respond. I just wanted to try it for a while before commenting. Whenever there is something new there is a learning curve so I figured it would be best to wait till I had things figured out. I don't see much difference other than the appearance.

The one difference I like is being able to go back more than one day when searching the "new posts." Sometimes I'm away for the weekend or just too busy. Its especially useful if its been a longer period and I can't get to all the new posts before I have to leave my computer. On the old site I'd lose anything longer than a day if I didn't stay on the site till I'd reviewed them all.

Thanks for all the work you guys do to keep the site up and running. Really we have very few problems.

I had the same setup on my laptop and I found a lot of sites were sluggish and/or locking up, and this site (our old site) was one of the more difficult ones. I switched to Mozilla a few months ago and I haven't had any problems since.

One thing I miss is being able to pass my cursor over the envelope icon and seeing when my last post in a thread was. With the old format I could do that; not since the redesign.
