I hear a beep everytime I use my blinkers

I've been driving my 2008 patriot for just over 2.5 years now. A couple weeks ago, a weird thing started happening. Whenever I use my blinkers, I hear one beep come from the dashboard. It sounds like the sound it makes when the low fuel light comes on. Also, when I use the right blinkers, sometimes the blinker/clicking noise is twice as fast. This is weird. Anyone else???

The doubletime blinker would be indicative of a blown bulb... could the chime be the patriot monitoring the bulbs and detecting a failure?

Yep, you've got a turn signal out. My left rear turn signal was out (fixed it earlier today, actually) and there was a chime every time I used either the left or right blinker, as well as a message on my EVIC. I suspect if you don't have EVIC you would only get the chime and the fast blinking to indicate a lamp out.

I had the left turn signal blinking fast and not working in the rear. Replaced the bulb with 4157 because I had one and they looked just like the 3157 I pulled out. All is good now.

The same thing happened to me and it was the rear passenger turn signal that was bad. I thought I was loosing my mind when I heard the chime when using the left signal as well. I could understand the right as the chime would indicate the defective bulb. Glad to hear I'm not the only one this happened to.

Your blinker fluid is low, you need to top it off.

Religion has convinced people that there’s an invisible man…living in the sky, who watches everything you do every minute of every day. And the invisible man has a list of ten specific things he doesn’t want you to do. And if you do any of these things, he will send you to a special place, of burning and fire and smoke and torture and anguish for you to live forever, and suffer and burn and scream until the end of time. But he loves you. He loves you and he needs money.

haa...

my experience:
mine chimed when my connector came loose. I checked it out and the clip that held the connectors together was broke so I had the dealer replace it. I could hold them together and everything worked but if I let go it would come out and I'd get the ding and the double speed blink.

But really, it may have gone out sooner because of the blinker fluid being low.
