I am new to this forum. I need new tires for my Jeep Patriot 2010. I only drive it around the city and highway. I do not want to spend too much money but also like to get good quality.
I'm running General AltiMax RT43s on Wifey's Patriot and they're great. Quiet, firm, stable, good traction in rain. Haven't had 'em in snow -- don't intend to -- these are summer tires, right?
Only other advice is to avoid the generics. I've had several bad experiences with generics. Get a good branded tire. My favorites are General and Michelin. The 16" RT43s come in OEM size.

I concur. Quiet (our Pats are noisey to start off). Good in both rain and snow. Excellent tread life rating. Excellent performance. Excellent reviews all across the interweb.
I believe this is the best value all season tire on the market right now. Priced right in the middle of the range. In my opinion, it has the qualities of Michelin at a much lower price.
IF you are just looking for a passenger car type tire. I have them on my Pat right now and am very satisfied.

Mine are holding up well and are great on rainy slick roads.
The Le2's are quiet on smooth highway roads but noisy on on gravel and especially on coarse tar 'n chip roads as with just about all brands of tires because of the lousy noise proofing on these Pats.
I've been avoiding getting a set by sticking used ones on here and there until I got a little cash saved up. I can no longer avoid it... so I'm glad you guys got this thread going!
I just bought a set of Firestone Champion Fuelfighter tires in 215/65/17 size for our Patriot. I only have about 2 k miles on em but they are quiet and excellent on rain soaked highways. I will put my winter tires back on after getting them re balanced and before the first snow flake hits the ground next November.
