Mounts

I ordered a 50inch light bar upper windshield mount for XJ's. I am going to see how it fits and see if it would work on the 2nd gen patriots.

Cool. It would be helpful to know for sure.

I know someone has used Toyota Tundra mounts, but it took some minor modification before it was a perfect fit.

I also have ordered the Cherokee light bar brackets to try and fit it on the 2nd gen Patriot, let see how it works out. will add some pics after i install if i have no problem. Also 98rangerdave doesn't have any for the Patriot he had said it was project he wants to work on. But i cant wait been having a light bar that was a Christmas gift and it just sitting around gathering dust.

Hello fellow Jeep-orinos, I just installed the light bar brackets that belong to and XJ Jeep Cherokee, they fit snug on the door frame all you have to do is basically straighten the brackets to accommodate for the light bar the top of the patriot measures I think it was like 47.5" to 49" and the light bar would go over the edge. I will attache a pic so y'all can see what I mean, hope this help still haven't hooked it up that would be tomorrow.
Peace out y'all.

Gen 1 is up to 2010. At 2011, the MK platform (Compass and Patriot) had a facelift, so we call it Gen 2.
Its the same vehicle underneath, just different plastics and some modified interior trim.

I think officially, the New 2017 Compass, which is replacing the Compass and Patriot, is called gen 2. So things may get confusing here. We might have to change the way we describe the pre and post facelift models.

Nice Work. I am considering the same once I get my 2011 subframe rot under control. My 2016 is going to stay factory.. wife doesn't really want to look like a UFO.
