$$ they are going to be coming out with the grand wagoneer in the next year or two, so don't want two cars that compete in the same segment (HA!). The ranger is coming, ford has been pretty open about it, even had a designer do an AMA on reddit I think yesterday. Its going to be too big for my tastes, similar in size to a Colorado, or 4/5th the size of a f150.
Here is something maybe worth waiting for. Ford is bringing back the ford ranger line, and they have an SUV sold in other countries not sold here based off the ranger, called the Everest. So its a truck based SUV, holds 7, and price would be ford prices, so probably reasonable?
I will probably never buy another new vehicle. Used vehicles are the best bargain. Usually (except for the wrangler) you can get any vehicle for 50% off the price a couple years old and 50k miles.
agreed. we got a bargain on our flex, which has been an awesome car. We bought it when it was 4 years old with 70k miles on it. Kinda high mileage, but we paid 2/3rds of similar ones with less miles, and it was optioned up the wazoo, which would have cost more. Was able to pay it off in <6 months, and it has needed 1 $60 repair, and a set of tires, outside of oil changes. It needs new rear shocks soon, but that's something to worry about down the line. all of our cars will be 2-3 years old when we buy them. Its really hit the mark for us on cars
