If the O2 sensor doesn't help I would do a cylinder compression and leakdown test. The key is consistency, any glaring differences will point to efficiency issues.

one more question for now Amazon lists one part sku for the o2 sensor NTK23161 for both upstream & downstream, do you consider that to be correct?

Keep picking

You should try the mustang amp from fender. I have one with a modified speaker, It was about 500 bucks all in with the speaker, and I get all the classic fender amps, marshalls, vox, hiwatt etc sounds from it. Bluegrass picker, that is AWESOME!, that's one style my hand will not do for sure. That takes skill.

My friend has 7 tube amps that are modelled in the mustang amp, and you cannot tell the difference.

thank you That
I have ordered the o2 sensor from Amazon and will change it out this weekend also with a new oem paper air filter, if that does not do it we are beyond my comfort zone of DIY repairs.
Thank you again to all for the kind support.

Just following up to see if you got your poor fuel economy figured out.

If you click on my Fuelly below, you'll see what I've been getting.
