Jeep Patriot 2015?

When I bought my "13 Patriot I read it was probably the last year for the model. Now I see there is a 2014, and when I looked in Wikapedia, apparently 2012 sales were VERY good.

Ok. Compass is gone? Liberty too. Does anyone have any solid info on whether the Pat will continue past 2014?

Karma isn't a bitch, unless you are.

The Compass has a 2014 model...they are hitting dealerships now. The 2014 model year should be the last for the Patriot/Compass but the financial problems with Fiat (with European sales) has caused a lot of changes to the Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep plans this year and next.

Jeep Patriot 2015?

I don't think they have announced any plans for 2015. One things certain is that the Patriots days are numbered. It would be nice to have it through 2015.

I wouldn't say the patriot name will go away, but the mk platform will eventually be replaced. They have sold a ton of patriots. I would expect a new platform with either a more powerful and/or a more fuel efficient power train and an updated 4x4 system. Times march on Chrysler is making more money than they have in a long time and the patriot class is a strong seller, and more importantly a gateway jeep. Who here will buy a jeep as their next vehicle? I know two members have, one to a grand Cherokee and another a wrangler. I just hope it has a strong trail rated option.

There's a strong chance I will, it'll just be a while.

I can't say I will buy another Jeep. I can say chances are very high( 99%+ )it will be another MOPAR however. Chrysler has always has been my favorite car mfg and I always give 1st shot to available models from their brands. If Jeep offered what I wanted at the best price I would buy it but I won't only consider a Jeep.

I have been reading about the return of the Dodge Dakota for 2015 in a more affordable and fuel efficient package which has me intrigued. Also there are rumors of a possible return of the Ram 50 which would interest me a lot as long as it was as roomy as the Ram 50 I had before and it got good MPG.

I am not Jeep loyal but I am MOPAR loyal. Other than it was a Chrysler product and I could thus stay with the dealer I use( HUGE wiith me )I got the Patriot because of price, room, and fuel economy not because it was a Jeep.

I'm about to add a wrangler to the family in a month or so.

The wife will be deployed to the Dominican Republic later this year. So the plan is to ship the wrangler with her to face whatever conditions we find there and keep the Compass for the driving in the "civilized" Canada

Don't know, we've only had 5 Jeeps, but if I were a betting man.....

We have had a '73 Dodge Tradesman, '75 Dodge Ramcharger and an '82 Chrysler LeBaron, never thought about it, maybe it's a Chrysler thang! All three were well before Chrysler picked up Jeep from AMC.

Yes, the Fiat $$$ problems are catching up with their timetable so the 2015 Pat may be later in the year, like in the fall when you are supposed to rollout new models.

It would be nice to see a special edition before the Pat goes away, and not just black wheels & badges.

Give us one of the turbo platforms for 2015!!!

^x 1,000,000,000. I want them to sell a hardcore version of the patriot, give it a good name, like "crown king" (a great trail here in AZ) and sell it.

There's plenty of time for things to change anyway.

I wish Jeep would streamline the Pat. Make it into something to compete heavily on the Eq and Terrain. That's what I would do. A wedge can't compete with those two vehicles sorry Jeep.

Have a '03 Dakota & 84 W100 4x4. I like my Pat - my problem is - they out source the engine/tranny. I remember the smaller AMC Jeep Cherokess had a Buick V6 - and a GM tranny.

My next generation Patriot Wish List:

1. Keep with a 4x4 system (No awd only version)
2. Up the MPG, do not expect it to match 2wd competition, but an increase over current.
3. Keep it Jeep, and make it look good (Round Headlights 7 slot grill)!!!!!

If it makes you feel any better, the engine is built in the US. While Chrysler, Hyundai, and Mitsubishi all had their hand in designing the engine, Chrysler brought out the shares of Hyundai and Mitsubishi in 2009. The "World" engine in your Patriot is built in Dundee, Michigan. The transmission on the other hand is a product of Mexico
