Pardon my ignorance, so is this something the dealer will fix? I have had random leaks into the front domelamp that I'm sure is coming from the sunroof. They "fixed" it a few years back, but it has happened again. Is it free of charge??

Technically if you vehicle is out warranty than its not a free fix but if you previously had it at the dealer and they claimed they fixed it. There is a good chance that you can get them to fix it and here is why.

All repair and parts carry a warranty independent of your vehicle's limited warranty.

How is your relationship with the dealer? Show up to the dealer with a printed copy of the updated TSB have them look at your history and how many times you had the vehicle in for the repair.
Be nice stick to the facts and ask them to work your vehicle based on the new TSB they will most likely do it or contact Chrysler for an authorization if out of warranty.

You might also want to contact Chrysler explain your situation and how many times you had the vehicle in to have it fixed but the issue was no resolved. Ask them to pay for this new TSB.

If all else fails look up the parts numbers from the TSB talk to the service manager have them order you the Tubes at a discounted price and do the work yourself as it requires no mechanical ability whatsoever other than time and a pair of hands

So look at what I found on ebay. The new Clear smooth tube. It only took them 7 years to figure it out

Again where can I find the full TSB. I've searched around but can only find the old 2010 version

It's not a free fix when out of warranty. I have an 09 that was supposed to be fixed back in 09 a recenty leaked through the front dome light again. I had to file a claim with chrysler cutomer service and ended up paying $95 for them to replace the sunroof tubes again. I showed them the bulliten, they still deny ever hearing of this problem even though i know other patriot owners without the sunroof with the same leak. This is my 4th leak and now have electrical problems due to the leaking. If i was able to afford anothr car payment i would trade this vehicle in in a heartbeat.

the tubes are not the issue. maybe the end is, it clogs. the seal is not thick enough on the sunroof. water shouldnt get past the seal point blank

Wow, I'm surprised to see this so recent. My Patriot is an '08. I got in it today and a steady 3 or 4 second stream of water poured out of my dome light when I started it up. I've never noticed any leak prior to today.

Lee,

Is there any way we can get a PDF of this new TSB? This appears to be an update of a previous TSB (#23-016-10a) for the roof leaks. I have been dealing with the roof leak issue for almost 4 years, and unless I have something in my hand to show my dealer, they claim it does not exist. Very frustrating. Thanks!
