What are some differences between the sport and the latitude?

At my local dealers there only about $2,000 different from one another, whats different?

Options

If you don't care about leather seats or seat warmers, you can get all the other aforementioned options added to a Sport and get out the door for less I would think.

I just bought a 2012 Latitude tonight & struggled with the same question. Adding all the options mentioned above gets you $1,150 less than a Latitude.

However, you can't add:

1) 115V outlet
2) Heated seats
3) Height adjustable driver's seat
4) Fold-flat front seat & reclining rears
5) Most importantly for me was steering wheel audio controls

Oh & you can get more options on the Latitude as well. Personally, I decided I really needed number five.

I have all of those and the steering wheel controls make a huge difference.

The other option I love is the mygig stereo.. That might just keep me in my Patriot for a long time.

Yes they do, but I wish you could go through the presets in either direction. As far as I've figured-out, you can only go one way. It's a minor annoyance though.

Have to say that the outlet would have been nice for busy days on the road to power the computer without the unsightly power inverter. The fold front seat also would be nice. But I don't know if they were $1,000 nice. Having never had wheel mounted audio controls(i always drove my XJ), I don't miss them.

I hear you, I basically spent $2K more than I wanted to on the Patriot, but I don't think these are worth $2K. I couldn't get the deal I wanted on the Sport, so it was realistically only $1,300 more. I got a better overall deal on the Latitude, so I'm happy paying the extra for these features. I also forgot:

6) Leather Steering wheel
7) EVIC system (I believe)

I just wish the CVT wasn't included as I paid for it over the '11 when it was not & took the $0 option for the 5-spd. That said, I got a Latitude 4x4 for under $20K so I can't really complain.
