Black plastic on bumper fading?

I have a 2009 and the black plastic on the top of the rear bumper is starting to look awfully faded. What do you recommend to bring it back to life? Something like Armor All?

2009 "Piece of Sht" Edition. Roof leaked on 3rd day of ownership and multiple times thereafter. Wheel Speed Sensor FAILED (TWICE) causing ABS system to nearly kill me! Ball Joints FAILED @40k miles. Electronic Control Module FAILED - $750+ with towing and repairs! "Tire & Wheel Package" = 17" wheels with 16" donut spare - WTF?

Turtle Wax Ice works great on all black trim.

Thanks Middleburg, I've never heard of that. I'll give it a try!

OOPS!! I just washed my Patriot and was going to post pictures but I bought the wrong stuff, I bought Turtle Wax Ice Spray Detailer and that does no good. I was supposed to buy TURTLE WAX ICE SPRAY WAX thats the one that works, to bad i opened the bottle now can't return, but ya Turtle Wax Ice Spray Wax gives it a nice coat and finish and you can spray Ice on every surface.

was treating the leather seats with some Meguiar's and headed to the hatch to put away the stuff and noticed the fading plastic. since i had the rag in hand i gave it a wipe and it blackended up nicely so maybe the uv protectant will help. its still shiny black a week and a half later no ill affects yet.

Garage
There's already another thread on this, with a couple suggestions.

Back to black is one, and bedliner was one, and some other stuff like back to black, but I forget.

Amor All is ok if you use it all the time, but not good to restore or bring back once faded.

You can go fast, but I can go anywhere

NO, no, I don't want something like the brush on bedliner or if that is what "plasti-dip" sounds like. Just something to brighten the current plastic. Don't really want to have to tape off the body just to spray on some goo.

Sorry, I didn't see the other thread on this. Anyone have a link?

That black plastic piece on the rear bumper just pops off so if you did want to paint it you could just take it off; you wont have to mask anything.

Here is a link to the other topic: bumper plastic piece

Mothers "back to black" works well--is available at auto-zone and cost about $6. Seems to bring back the black--just as the name implies.

I'd caution anyone about using Armor-All--it's one of those products that once you start using it, you have to continue applying it. Also, it does cause vinyl dashes, etc. to lighten, and eventually crack. Turtle Ice works MUCH better!

Another cheaper version is called cover all... Go to o'riellys and ask for it. It won't be on the shelf. Cheaper and better in my opinion. It comes in a spray can...
