Just bought a used Jeep Patriot 2008 and from what I understand from the forum you have 2 versions of the radio:
1 - Standard with AUX Port
2 - Upgrade with CD changer but no AUX port
My jeep has no AUX port but i cannot seem to find a cd changer in the car so can anyone tell me where it would be located?
Furthermore, i would much rather have a AUX port than a cd changer so if anyone can post any links that would be helpful for me to either add a AUX or downgrade to the standard radio that would be great!
Well my car definitely doesn't have a CD Changer installed but it does have the radio version without the AUX port. So now i will need to find solutions , either changing the radio system or modding the existing one I guess.
I have the European REG model with security radio.
I am thinking to change it to a REF model (purchased from the states) which has the AUX input. Does anyone foresee a problem either with compatibility or radio frequencies?
Model i am looking at is as follows:- 638-01769A-D2 (purchased from 1factoryradio
Additionally, has anyone got any tips for removing the centre console from a manual Jeep Patriot 2008?

Interesting response from 1factoryradio regarding compatibility...
quote "you would need to stick with the REG model which came factory in your vehicle due to the data stream from the body module." so apparently if i wanted to change the radio it would need to be an 'REG' model according to them.
