Just put 225/65/17's on. It's been 3 weeks and no problems. I know it's only a minor difference in height, but I notice it!

225/70/16

Just had a set of these Master Craft Courser AXT's put on today and they are awesome!! Ride smooth and quiet with a great look to them. Got them in 225/70/16 on OE Steelies 16x6.5... Love them plus 75$ rebate from Mastercraft! Pics are in my album.

I put on 235/70r16 tires on my stock 16" steelies. 2014 Sport FDI. No lift, no spacers. Rubbed a little while turning, cut some of the inside wheel well out to make room. I'll post a video later.

235/70r16 on stock steelies
No lift, no spacers. FDI.

After driving a few days with them on I've noticed a bit of a power loss, mostly on the freeway. This doesn't bother me seeing as how I don't race my Patriot around anyways but it goes up to 3500 rpms to get me to 60mph. Small price to pay in my opinion, I really like how it looks and the small hight gain. I only wish I had more beefy tires on it. Next time :-)

Just depends on how far you're willing to trim the fenders!

I've ran 235/60/17's for 5 years and have never had any rub. Same height as 225/65/17 just a little wider.

I'm running 225/75R16 tires on 16x8 wheels with a 0 offset. They rubbed on the pinch weld, so i smashed it and melted the plastic flat with a heat gun. Now, that setup is virtually rub free.
